Safety Equipment

Kitesurfing is an extreme sport and therefore carries certain risks. Our primary concern at KiteAddicts is your safety and we ensure your learning experience is a safe one by teaching to the IKO standards. This means that we only use IKO professional Kiteboard Instructors and use all the safety equipment recommended by the IKO, namely:

• Safety boat cover – A race tuned ThunderCat is used for this purpose, with a top speed of over 80kmph, you’ll always be assured of a quick pick up – this is a buzz in itself!
• Kites with effective safety systems
• Helmets
• Knee and elbow pads for land based activities
• Buoyancy Aids
